BLUE TRAIL
Trail length of 7 km and duration of 1 hour 40 minutes of low difficulty
Can also be done by running or mountain biking, lasting about 45 minutes. Mixed asphalt and easy gravel road.
Directions:
start from the centre of Tabiano, in Piazza Verdi and, at the roundabout, take the road to the right, towards Fidenza. After about 600 metres, when you arrive in front of the former petrol station, take a left onto a steep road for about 500 metres, keeping right at the first fork and continuing until the end of the steep climb. At the fork (km 1.1), continue to the right on a gravel road, slightly uphill, until you reach the top of the hill and then go down a tarmac road. After going through a small village, turn right (km 2), downhill on a gravel road and you reach the tarmac road Fidenza-Tabiano. Cross over and take the road on the other side towards Fuli; you start to climb with varying gradients for 2.5 km, seeing the castle of Tabiano in the distance. When you reach a shrine (km 5), turn right onto a gravel road downhill that, in 1.6 km, brings you back in front of the Ducale Hotel and then to the avenue to Piazza Verdi (km 7). The route is easy to follow in both directions. There is a panorama from above over the village of Tabiano, the castle, the surrounding hills and the plain.
Altitude:
Flat start in the village and then a demanding initial climb for 1.5 km, followed by a downhill stretch to 2.5 km and then back up again for 2.5 km; return to the village with 2 km downhill. Easy route, suitable for panoramic walks, for walkers with some training.
