Black Trail<\/h3>\n

Trail length of 7.1 km and duration of about 2 hours, quite challenging<\/h4>\n

It has an altitude difference of 257 m+. It can also be done by running or mountain biking, lasting about 45 minutes to 1 hour.<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row”][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=”row-copy__fullw”]<\/p>\n

Directions (clockwise):<\/strong>
\nStart in Piazza Verdi, in the centre of Tabiano, and, at the roundabout, take the road to the left, towards Salsomaggiore. After about 600 metres, take a left onto a downhill road near the former Hotel Panoramik. Continue for about 500 metres and, at the fork, turn right, skirting the campsite and beginning the ascent of Via Petrolifera. After 1.2 km, at the top of the hill (yellow point 2 on the map), you start to descend for 1.4 km and then, with 4 hairpin bends on a slight incline, you get back on the Tabiano – Salsomaggiore road (4.7 km of the route). Turn right towards Tabiano for about 200 metres and you can choose between two routes (yellow point 3 on the map): either follow the main road to the right and go directly down to Tabiano in about 1.8 km or, at the fork, go up to the left for a slightly longer variant; take the road towards Bargone and, after 900, metres take the Sentiero degli Alpini to the right which, after 600 metres, takes you back to the main tarmac road in Farolda\/Camping Arizona. From here, you turn left downhill and, after about 750 metres, you arrive in Piazza Verdi. The route is easy to follow in both directions. There is a beautiful view from the top over the castle, the surrounding hills and the plain.<\/p>\n

Altitude:<\/strong>
\nLeaving the village slightly uphill and then downhill (1) to km 1; then a steep climb for 1.2 km, followed by a steep descent (2) to km 3.8. It climbs in hairpin bends on a medium gradient and then another short climb after the left-hand fork for the longer variant (3). From the summit, the return is all downhill, in the first part on a path and then on an asphalt road. This route is suitable for trained walkers and runners, or a short outing for bikers trained to climb.<\/p>\n
